Seattle Trip -- 2007
In the summer of 2007 Pat, Strider, and I drove 2100 miles across the top of the US from Glen Ellyn to Seattle via Interstate 90. We traveled at a leisurely pace of about 650 miles / day; arriving on the morning of the 4th day.
We chose to drive for two reasons: We couldn't bear to leave our Labrador, Strider, boarded for over a week while we visited our daughter. We also thought it would be an adventure to drive across the plains and mountains of the western and northwest states.
It was a great choice - we enjoyed the drive out and back, and had a wonderful time visiting Kathy and Nate in Seattle (with side trips to visit the Gorski's and the Gadekens).
