Political Op-Ed on the End of Conservatism in US
(Posted 1/26/2005) - Here's a rather scary op-ed from former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, a devout consertative. He makes some rather dire predictions based on his appraisel of a shift to what he calls neo-conservatism
Dr. Roberts, who was also Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal editorial page and Contributing Editor of National Review, believes that a majority in the US have migrated to dangerous emotional waters, from which the public allows the Bush Administration freedom to operate without any real scrutiny.
I'm linking to this apocalyptic article (The Brownshirting of America), because I just can't quite believe such craziness will come to pass, but I am uncertain enough to be concerned. The Link to the Counterpunch.org article (Oct 15 2004) is here.
